🍽️ Crunchy Turkish Oven Peppers

Ingredients
- 6 bell peppers, red (green or yellow)
- 125 g feta cheese
- some fat for the dish
- 1 bunch spring onions (or 1 large onion)
- 3 tomatoes
- 1 clove of garlic
- salt and pepper
- chili powder
- thyme
- oregano
- basil
- 2 tbsp oil
Instructions
- 1. Carefully cut small caps around the stem of the peppers.
- 2. Pull the caps out with a twisting motion.
- 3. Remove the inside of the peppers along with the seeds.
- 4. Cut the feta cheese into six long strips.
- 5. Fill the empty pepper pods with the cheese strips.
- 6. Place the stuffed peppers in a lightly greased baking dish.
- 7. Finely dice the onion or chop the spring onions.
- 8. Slice the tomatoes.
- 9. Add the onions and tomato slices to the baking dish.
- 10. Season the vegetables with salt and pepper.
- 11. Add a pinch of chili.
- 12. Add chopped garlic.
- 13. Sprinkle everything generously with thyme.
- 14. Sprinkle everything generously with oregano.
- 15. Spray the dish with oil.
- 16. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius top and bottom heat.
- 17. Place the baking dish in the oven for 20 minutes.
- 18. Stir the onions at the end of the baking time.
- 19. Mix the onions with the tomatoes.
- 20. Mix everything with the resulting juice.
- 21. Finely chop the basil.
- 22. Sprinkle the finished dish with the basil.
- 23. Serve the peppers with fried sliced potatoes or oven potatoes.
