🍕 Mini Pizza Snails

Ingredients
- 250 g flour
- 75 ml milk, lukewarm
- 75 ml water, lukewarm
- 20 g fresh yeast
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp oregano (dried)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp ketchup (or tomato paste)
- 200 g cooked ham (sliced)
- 150 g crème fraîche with herbs
- 200 g cheese, grated
Instructions
- 1. Sift the flour into a large bowl.
- 2. Make a well in the center of the flour.
- 3. Warm up the milk and water together.
- 4. Crumble the yeast into small pieces.
- 5. Dissolve the yeast with one teaspoon of sugar in a small amount of the warm liquid.
- 6. Pour the yeast mixture into the well of the flour.
- 7. Cover the opening with a little flour.
- 8. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 10 minutes, covered.
- 9. Add salt, oregano, oil, and the remaining liquid.
- 10. Beat the ingredients together vigorously at first.
- 11. Knead the ingredients into a firm dough.
- 12. Continue kneading the dough for about 10 minutes.
- 13. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 30 minutes, covered.
- 14. Roll out the dough to the size of a baking sheet.
- 15. Cut the dough in half lengthwise.
- 16. Spread each half of the dough with ketchup or tomato paste.
- 17. Top the dough halves with ham.
- 18. Spread the crème fraîche over the toppings.
- 19. Sprinkle the cheese on top.
- 20. Roll each dough sheet lengthwise.
- 21. Cut each roll into 12 slices.
- 22. Place the snails on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 23. Let the snails rise again for 10 minutes.
- 24. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
- 25. Bake the snails for about 20 minutes using top and bottom heat.
- 26. Serve the snails warm.
