Ingredients
- 200 g Butter
- 175 g Sugar
- 6 Egg(s)
- 350 g Flour
- 350 ml Milk
- 3 tsp Baking powder
- 1 Pinch(es) Salt
- 1 Packet(s) Vanilla sugar
- some Lemon juice
- Icing sugar
- 1 Jar Sour cherries
- 200 ml Whipping cream
Instructions
- 1. This batter makes about 15 waffles.
- 2. Mix the flour with salt and baking powder (a leavening agent that fluffs the batter).
- 3. Beat the soft butter together with the eggs, sugar, and vanilla sugar until creamy.
- 4. Now stir in the flour mixture and the milk alternately into the butter mixture until smooth.
- 5. The batter should be thick and drip slowly from the spoon; adjust the amount of milk depending on the size of your eggs.
- 6. Finally, add a few drops of lemon juice and bake the waffles in a waffle iron until golden brown.
- 7. Serve the waffles with powdered sugar, warm cherries, and/or whipped cream.
