  2. 2. Grate the white cabbage finely.
  3. 3. Place the grated cabbage in a large bowl.
  4. 4. Dice the onions into small cubes.
  5. 5. Mix the onion cubes into the grated cabbage.
  6. 6. Put sugar, oil, salt, pepper, herb vinegar, and mineral water into a separate bowl.
  7. 7. Stir the liquid until the sugar has completely dissolved.
  8. 8. Pour the marinade carefully over the cabbage.
  9. 9. Cover the bowl with a smaller plate.
  10. 10. Weigh down the plate with two or three heavy cans.
  11. 11. Let the salad marinate for 24 hours.
  12. 12. Drain the marinade the next day.
  13. 13. Serve the salad.
  14. 14. Store the salad in jars in the refrigerator if needed.
