Ingredients
- 300 g puff pastry (from the refrigerated section)
- 2 onion(s)
- 2 stalk(s) leek
- 200 g ham (in one piece)
- 20 g butter
- 150 g cheese, grated
- 4 egg(s)
- 200 g cream
- salt and pepper
- optional paprika powder
Instructions
- 1. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to a thickness of about three millimeters. Line a quiche dish with it, pressing the pastry firmly against the sides as well.
- 2. Finely chop the onions and slice the leek into thin rings. Dice the ham. Sauté everything together in some butter until light yellow and soft. Remove the pan from the heat and let the mixture cool down completely.
- 3. Mix the grated cheese with the eggs and cream in a bowl. Fold in the cooled leek-onion-ham mixture. Season to taste and spread the filling evenly over the pastry in the dish.
- 4. Place the quiche in an oven preheated to 200 degrees Celsius (top and bottom heat). Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until the filling is set and the top has turned a nice light brown color.
