Ingredients
- 190 g powdered sugar
- 100 g almonds, ground
- 200 g hazelnuts, ground
- 2 egg whites
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- 1 drop lemon juice
Instructions
- 1. Beat the egg whites and powdered sugar with a mixer or whisk until the icing is stiff.
- 2. Set aside about one-third of the icing.
- 3. Put the remaining icing into a pot.
- 4. Add the remaining ingredients, but only 100 grams of the nuts.
- 5. Stir the mixture with a spoon, do not use a whisk.
- 6. Knead the dough briefly at the end.
- 7. Cover the work surface with the remaining nuts.
- 8. Roll out the dough on the nuts to a thickness of about 8 to 10 millimeters.
- 9. Cut out stars from the dough.
- 10. Place the stars on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 11. Brush the stars generously with the remaining egg white icing.
- 12. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 13. Bake the cookies for about 10 to 12 minutes.
- 14. After 8 minutes, open the oven door slightly for the remaining baking time using a cooking spoon.
