  1. 1. Beat the egg whites and powdered sugar with a mixer or whisk until the icing is stiff.
  2. 2. Set aside about one-third of the icing.
  3. 3. Put the remaining icing into a pot.
  4. 4. Add the remaining ingredients, but only 100 grams of the nuts.
  5. 5. Stir the mixture with a spoon, do not use a whisk.
  6. 6. Knead the dough briefly at the end.
  7. 7. Cover the work surface with the remaining nuts.
  8. 8. Roll out the dough on the nuts to a thickness of about 8 to 10 millimeters.
  9. 9. Cut out stars from the dough.
  10. 10. Place the stars on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  11. 11. Brush the stars generously with the remaining egg white icing.
  12. 12. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  13. 13. Bake the cookies for about 10 to 12 minutes.
  14. 14. After 8 minutes, open the oven door slightly for the remaining baking time using a cooking spoon.
