Ingredients
- 1 kg ground beef
- 3 tbsp teriyaki sauce
- 4 slices pineapple
- 4 slices Gouda
- 4 burger buns
- 1 cup sugar (brown)
- 1 cup tomato ketchup
- 3 tbsp mustard
- 1 onion
- 1 tomato (sliced)

- salt and pepper
Instructions
- 1. Divide the ground meat into four equal portions.
- 2. Shape each piece into a flat burger patty.
- 3. Ensure each patty weighs about 250 grams.
- 4. Place the patties in a bowl.
- 5. Pour teriyaki sauce over the meat.
- 6. Let the sauce soak in for a moment.
- 7. Spread the sauce evenly over both sides of the patties with your hands.
- 8. Grill the burgers or pan-fry them over medium to high heat.
- 9. Season the seared patties with salt and pepper.
- 10. Add onion slices to the pan.
- 11. Cook everything for a short while longer until the onions are soft and golden brown.
- 12. Spread the prepared special sauce over the burgers.
- 13. Cover the pan.
- 14. Let the burgers simmer on low heat.
- 15. Ensure the meat remains juicy inside.
- 16. Slice the buns horizontally.
- 17. Place the cut sides in the hot oven for a short time.
- 18. Toast the buns lightly.
- 19. Place the bottom half of the bun.
- 20. Add a lettuce leaf on top.
- 21. Place the burger with sauce and onions on top.
- 22. Add a slice of Gouda cheese on top.
- 23. Add a tomato slice on top.
- 24. Add a piece of pineapple on top.
- 25. Cover everything with the top half of the bun.
- 26. Put ketchup, sugar, and mustard in a pot.
- 27. Measure the sugar using a US cup.
- 28. Heat the mixture over low heat.
- 29. Stir constantly.
- 30. Simmer the mixture until the sugar is completely dissolved.
