🍽️ Classic DDR Egg Liqueur

Ingredients
- 8 egg yolks
- 250 g powdered sugar
- 375 ml condensed milk
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 250 ml rum (54% alcohol)
Instructions
- 1. Beat the egg yolks and vanilla sugar until creamy.
- 2. Slowly mix the powdered sugar into the egg mixture.
- 3. Add the condensed milk and stir everything well.
- 4. Gently stir the rum into the liquid.
- 5. Place a heatproof bowl into a pot filled with hot water.
- 6. Pour the liqueur mixture into the bowl in the water bath.
- 7. Warm the mixture slowly while stirring constantly.
- 8. Stop when the liquid thickens.
- 9. Make sure the mixture never boils.
- 10. Pour the warm liqueur into bottles.
- 11. Do not fill the bottles completely to the brim.
- 12. Let the liqueur cool down as it will thicken further.
- 13. The remaining space allows you to add milk or rum later if needed.
