🥤 Caipirinha Fruit Bowl

Ingredients

- 1.5 Liter mineral water (ice-cold)
- 1 honeydew melon(s)
- 200 g sugar
- 200 ml Cachaça (sugar cane spirit)
- 2 bottles sparkling wine (dry, ice-cold)
Instructions
- 1. Finely grate the zest from three limes.
- 2. Juice five to six limes.
- 3. Make sure you have about 100 milliliters of lime juice.
- 4. Mix the lime juice with 300 milliliters of mineral water.
- 5. Add the grated lime zest to the liquid.
- 6. Pour the mixture into an ice cube tray.
- 7. Place the tray in the freezer overnight.
- 8. Cut a honeydew melon in half.
- 9. Use a melon baller to scoop out balls from the flesh.
- 10. Cut six limes into eight wedges.
- 11. Mix the lime wedges with brown sugar.
- 12. Gently mash the mixture with a muddler or spoon.
- 13. Squeeze the juice out of the limes while doing this.
- 14. Add the melon balls to the lime mixture.
- 15. Add some sugarcane rum.
- 16. Place the bowl in the refrigerator for three hours.
- 17. Let the flavors meld.
- 18. Just before serving, add the remaining mineral water to the bowl.
- 19. Add the sparkling wine to the bowl.
- 20. Add the prepared lime ice cubes to the bowl.
- 21. Stir everything gently.
- 22. Serve the bowl fresh.
