🍰 American Double Choc Brownies

Ingredients
- 230 g dark chocolate
- 130 g butter
- 140 g flour
- 210 g sugar
- 0.5 tsp baking powder
- 0.25 tsp salt
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 3 egg(s) (size M)
- 1 pkg milk chocolate coating (or white)
Instructions
- 1. Melt 200 grams of bittersweet chocolate and 120 grams of butter in a bowl.
- 2. Stir the chocolate mixture and let it cool down slightly.
- 3. Crush the remaining chocolate into small pieces using a freezer bag.
- 4. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
- 5. Beat eggs, sugar, and vanilla sugar until creamy.
- 6. Add the lukewarm chocolate mixture to the eggs.
- 7. Sift the flour mixture in gradually.
- 8. Stir everything gently into a smooth batter.
- 9. Fold in the remaining chocolate pieces.
- 10. Optionally, add a handful of chopped walnuts.
- 11. Grease a brownie baking pan (approx. 23 x 23 cm) with the remaining butter.
- 12. Pour the batter into the pan and smooth it out.
- 13. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- 14. Bake the brownies for 20 to 25 minutes on the middle rack.
- 15. Make sure the brownies stay moist and fudgy inside.
- 16. Stay by the oven from the 20-minute mark to find the right time.
- 17. Take the brownies out when the edges are deep dark brown.
- 18. Let the brownies cool down completely.
- 19. Optionally, spread them with milk chocolate coating.
- 20. Decorate them diagonally with white chocolate coating.
- 21. Cut them into 16 large squares or 32 smaller rectangles.
- 22. Let the brownies thaw briefly after freezing.
- 23. Serve them best with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
