Ingredients
- 4 pork schnitzels (chicken or turkey schnitzels etc.)
- 1 onion(s)
- oil for the dish
- 100 g bacon cubes (lean)
- 250 g mushrooms
- 2 pickle(s) (maybe more)
- 2 bell pepper(s)
- 2 clove(s) garlic
- 250 ml broth
- 200 g sour cream
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- Tabasco (or hot pepper sauce etc.)
- salt and pepper
- paprika powder, sweet-sour
- maybe cheese
Instructions
- 1. Season the schnitzels generously with salt and pepper.
- 2. Place the seasoned schnitzels flat into a baking dish.
- 3. Cut the onions into small cubes.
- 4. Slice the mushrooms into thin pieces.
- 5. Cut the gherkins into thin strips.
- 6. Cut the bell peppers into matching strips.
- 7. Add a little fat to a pan and heat it up slightly.
- 8. Sauté the onion cubes in the pan until translucent.
- 9. Add the bacon, mushrooms, gherkins, and peppers to the pan.
- 10. Sauté the vegetables briefly.
- 11. Press the garlic directly into the pan.
- 12. Deglaze the pan with the broth.
- 13. Stir the sour cream into the sauce.
- 14. Stir in the tomato paste.
- 15. Season the sauce with Tabasco.
- 16. Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
- 17. Season the sauce with paprika powder.
- 18. Pour the finished sauce evenly over the schnitzels in the dish.
- 19. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees fan-forced or 200 degrees top and bottom heat.
- 20. Bake the dish in the oven for 20 to 30 minutes.
- 21. Make sure the cooking time matches the type of meat.
- 22. Sprinkle grated cheese over the dish when there are five minutes of baking time left.
- 23. Serve the meat with bread, pasta, or rice.
