- 125 g sugar
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 125 g margarine
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 250 g flour
- 250 ml milk
- 1 pinch(es) salt
- fats (for the waffle iron)
Instructions
- 1. This recipe makes about 10 waffles.
- 2. Put the eggs, sugar, and vanilla sugar into a bowl.
- 3. Beat the mixture with an electric hand mixer on the highest setting until creamy.
- 4. Add the margarine to the egg mixture.
- 5. Stir the margarine in briefly until incorporated.
- 6. Mix the baking powder, flour, milk, and salt in a separate bowl.
- 7. Add the dry mixture to the wet waffle batter.
- 8. Stir everything until smooth with no lumps remaining.
- 9. Lightly grease your waffle iron.
- 10. Bake the batter in portions in the waffle iron until golden yellow.
- 11. Spread jam, Nutella, powdered sugar, or cinnamon sugar on the warm waffles.
- 12. For a cherry topping, put sour cherries into a pot.
- 13. Add cornstarch and sugar to the cherry mixture.
- 14. Heat the mixture until it thickens.
- 15. For variation, stir Nutella, cocoa, or grated apples directly into the batter.
