  3. 3. Place the potato slices in a bowl filled with cold water.
  4. 4. Let the potatoes sit in the water for 15 minutes.
  5. 5. Drain the water and pat the potatoes dry with a kitchen towel.
  6. 6. Season the potatoes with herb salt, pepper, and paprika powder.
  7. 7. Add the rapeseed oil and mix everything well.
  8. 8. Peel the onion and cut it into thin strips.
  9. 9. Add the onion strips to the seasoned potatoes.
  10. 10. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C.
  11. 11. Place the potato and onion mixture into the air fryer basket.
  12. 12. Fry the potatoes for 10 minutes at 180 °C.
  13. 13. Remove the basket and shake it vigorously to ensure even cooking.
  14. 14. Add the sliced Black Forest ham.
  15. 15. Fry the mixture for another 10 to 15 minutes at 180 °C until crispy.
