  1. 1. Put the chopped tomatoes in a pot and let them simmer over medium heat until the liquid has reduced slightly.
  2. 2. Stir the Italian herbs into the tomato sauce and season generously with salt and pepper.
  3. 3. Roll out the pizza dough and cut it into small squares so that exactly four pieces fit into the air fryer basket.
  4. 4. Place the dough squares in the basket without toppings, ensuring they do not touch so that the hot air can circulate well.
  5. 5. Pre-bake the dough at 180 °C for 2 to 3 minutes so that the base stays crispy later and does not get soggy.
  6. 6. Press the dough flat if it puffed up during the pre-baking process.
  7. 7. Spread the pre-baked dough bases thinly with the tomato sauce, but leave the outer edge bare.
  8. 8. Top the pizzas as you like and sprinkle grated mozzarella or gratin cheese over them.
  9. 9. Put the topped mini pizzas back into the air fryer and bake at 180 °C for 4 to 6 minutes until the cheese is melted and the edge is golden brown.
  10. 10. Serve the mini pizzas immediately while hot so that the base stays crispy and the cheese remains nicely melted.
