  1. 1. Cut the halloumi cheese into even sticks.
  2. 2. Dip the halloumi sticks briefly into some milk. This helps the coating stick better later.
  3. 3. Mix breadcrumbs (or starch), spices, and grated parmesan in a separate bowl.
  4. 4. Roll the milk-wet halloumi sticks in the breadcrumb mixture until they are completely covered.
  5. 5. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C.
  6. 6. Lightly spray the breaded sticks with oil.
  7. 7. Place the sticks side by side in the cooking basket. Make sure they do not overlap so they become crispy.
  8. 8. Cook the halloumi fries for 10 to 15 minutes at 180 °C until golden brown.
  9. 9. Shake the cooking basket vigorously after half the time to ensure the sticks cook evenly.
  10. 10. Leave them in the fryer for another 1 to 2 minutes if you like them extra crispy.
