- 1 egg(s), size M
- 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp lemon juice (or zest of one organic lemon)
- 2 stalk parsley, flat
- 200 g feta cheese
- salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for spraying or brushing)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onion and garlic and cut them into very small cubes.
- 2. Wash the parsley and chop it finely.
- 3. Cut the feta cheese into 12 equal cubes (approx. 1.5 cm each).
- 4. Place the minced meat, egg, breadcrumbs, diced onion, garlic, and spices in a bowl.
- 5. Work the ingredients together with your hands until you have a uniform mixture.
- 6. Knead the mixture only briefly so the meatballs stay juicy and do not become too firm.
- 7. Shape the meat mixture into 12 equal-sized balls.
- 8. Press a small indentation into the center of each ball with your thumb.
- 9. Place one feta cube into each indentation.
- 10. Carefully close the opening so that the cheese is completely hidden inside the meat.

- 12. Lightly brush the meatballs with olive oil or spray them with it.
- 13. Preheat the air fryer to 200 °C.
- 14. Place the meatballs in the cooking basket with some space between them.
- 15. Cook the meatballs for 15 to 20 minutes at 200 °C.
- 16. Turn the meatballs once after half the cooking time has passed.
- 17. Check the cooking time: It may vary slightly depending on size and appliance model.
