  1. 1. Cut the potatoes into slices about 1 cm thick.
  2. 2. Rinse the potato slices under running water.
  3. 3. Bring a pot of water to a boil.
  4. 4. Add the potato slices to the boiling water.
  5. 5. Boil the slices for 2 minutes.
  6. 6. Remove the potato slices from the water.
  7. 7. Dry the slices thoroughly with a kitchen towel.
  8. 8. Toss the dry slices with the oil.
  9. 9. Season the fries to taste with salt and other spices.
  10. 10. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C.
  11. 11. Place the fries in the air fryer basket.
  12. 12. Cook the fries for 10 minutes at 180 °C.
  13. 13. Turn the fries once after 10 minutes.
  14. 14. Continue cooking at 180 °C for another 10 minutes.
  15. 15. Increase the temperature to 200 °C if you want extra crispy fries.
  16. 16. Bake the fries for 2 minutes at 200 °C.
  17. 17. Serve the finished fries hot, for example with ketchup.
