Ingredients
- 500 g potatoes, waxy
- 200 ml cream
- 100 ml milk
- 150 g cheese, grated (e.g. Gouda)
- 1 clove(s) garlic
- salt and pepper
- nutmeg, freshly grated
Instructions
- 1. Choose a small, oven-safe dish that fits securely inside your air fryer basket.
- 2. Peel the potatoes and slice them into paper-thin rounds.
- 3. Layer the potato slices neatly into the prepared dish.
- 4. Whisk the cream and milk together in a separate bowl.
- 5. Press the garlic clove directly into the milk and cream mixture.
- 6. Season the liquid generously with salt, black pepper, and a pinch of ground nutmeg.
- 7. Pour the seasoned milk and cream mixture evenly over the layers of potatoes.
- 8. Cover the top generously with grated cheese.
- 9. Preheat the air fryer to 160 °C and place the dish inside.
- 10. Cook the gratin for 25 to 30 minutes, until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown and crispy.
