🍽️ Crispy Pork Belly Roast from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 1.2 kg pork belly (with rind)
- 1 tsp salt, coarse
- 1 tsp BBQ spice mix (e.g. Magic Dust)
Instructions
- 1. Take the pork belly out of the refrigerator.
- 2. Pat the surface of the meat completely dry with kitchen paper.
- 3. Score the rind (outer skin) in a crosshatch pattern with a sharp knife.
- 4. Ensure the cuts only hit the skin and do not reach into the meat.
- 5. Align the cut spacing with your desired slice thickness.
- 6. Rub the rind generously with salt.
- 7. Press the salt carefully into the cuts.
- 8. Turn the roast and rub the meat with BBQ seasoning.
- 9. Avoid putting seasoning on the rind.
- 10. Place the roast into the air fryer.
- 11. Position the rind horizontally for even rising.
- 12. Cook the roast at 160 °C for 60 minutes.
- 13. Increase the temperature to 200 °C.
- 14. Roast the pork belly until crispy for another 10 minutes.
- 15. Remove the roast from the air fryer.
- 16. Let the roast rest for about 5 minutes.
- 17. Slice the roast along the cuts.
- 18. Serve the crusty roast warm.
