Ingredients
- 1 head broccoli
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- salt and pepper
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the broccoli thoroughly under running water.
- 2. Separate the broccoli into roughly equal-sized florets.
- 3. Let the florets drain well.
- 4. Pat the broccoli dry with a kitchen towel if necessary.
- 5. Place the broccoli florets into a bowl.
- 6. Add some olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- 7. Toss everything gently until the broccoli is evenly seasoned.
- 8. Place the florets in the air fryer basket with the cut side facing down.
- 9. Make sure the florets are placed quite close together.
- 10. Do not preheat the air fryer, but set it directly to 175 °C.
- 11. Cook the broccoli for 8 to 10 minutes.
- 12. Check on the broccoli occasionally, as appliances vary.
- 13. Check the tenderness towards the end of the cooking time.
- 14. Pierce a floret with a fork or a knife.
- 15. The broccoli should be soft but still have a pleasant bite.
- 16. Extend the cooking time by 1 to 2 minutes if necessary.
- 17. Remove the broccoli from the air fryer.
- 18. Serve it immediately as a side dish or for bowls.
