Ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas (approx. 500 g)
- 2 tsp sunflower oil
- 1.5 tbsp sugar
- 1.5 tbsp cinnamon powder
Instructions
- 1. Place the chickpeas in a sieve and rinse them thoroughly with cold water.
- 2. Let the chickpeas drain well in the sieve.
- 3. Spread the chickpeas out on a clean kitchen towel.
- 4. Carefully pat the chickpeas dry with the towel.
- 5. Try to remove as many of the thin skins from the chickpeas as possible.
- 6. Place the dry chickpeas into a large bowl.
- 7. Add the sunflower oil and mix everything until the chickpeas are lightly coated with oil.
- 8. Place the chickpeas into the basket of the air fryer.
- 9. Ensure the chickpeas lie in a single layer and are not stacked on top of each other.
- 10. Do not preheat the air fryer; if it has an automatic preheat function, turn it off.
- 11. Set the air fryer to 185 °C and cook the chickpeas for 12 to 15 minutes.
- 12. Shake the basket well once or twice during cooking to ensure they become evenly crispy.
- 13. Remove the hot chickpeas from the air fryer and immediately place them into a clean bowl.
- 14. Add the sugar and cinnamon and mix well until the chickpeas are evenly coated.
- 15. Let the chickpeas cool down briefly outside the air fryer so they can steam off and become even crispier.
