🍽️ Crispy Candied Almonds from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 200 g almonds, whole
- 70 g sugar
- 1 pkg. Bourbon vanilla sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- 1 pinch(es) salt
- 2 tbsp water
Instructions
- 1. Put the almonds, sugar, vanilla sugar, cinnamon powder, salt, and water into a large bowl.
- 2. Stir the ingredients vigorously until every almond is evenly coated with the liquid.
- 3. Line the basket of the air fryer with a piece of baking paper.
- 4. Make sure the baking paper is not too large so that the hot air can circulate well.
- 5. Spread the almond mixture flat and evenly on the baking paper.
- 6. Avoid stacking the almonds on top of each other.
- 7. Set the air fryer to 170 °C.
- 8. Place the basket with the almonds into the appliance.
- 9. Set the cooking time to 10 minutes.
- 10. Check the almonds after about 5 minutes.
- 11. Remove the basket briefly.
- 12. Shake the basket or stir the almonds gently.
- 13. Put the basket back into the air fryer.
- 14. Let the almonds cook for another 3 to 5 minutes.
- 15. Watch the almonds closely, as sugar can burn quickly.
- 16. Remove the basket as soon as the almonds are golden brown.
- 17. Let the almonds cool down completely.
- 18. Gently separate the almonds from each other when they are hard and crispy.
