🍽️ Crunchy Onion Tart Without Crust from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 450 g onion(s)
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 65 g bacon cubes
- 1 tbsp oil (or butter for sautéing)
- 2 egg(s)
- 120 ml milk
- 2 spritzers Maggi
- 100 g flour
- 100 g Gouda (grated)
- 1 tsp salt and pepper
- n. B. nutmeg, freshly grated
Instructions
- 1. Slice the onions into thin half-rings.
- 2. Roughly chop the cumin seeds.
- 3. Heat some oil or butter in a frying pan.
- 4. Fry the onions, chopped cumin, and bacon cubes over medium heat for about 10 minutes until translucent.
- 5. Season the mixture with one teaspoon of salt and freshly ground pepper.
- 6. Let the filling cool down completely.
- 7. Whisk the eggs with the milk, two dashes of Maggi sauce, and freshly grated nutmeg until smooth.
- 8. Sift the flour into the egg-milk mixture.
- 9. Stir the flour in well with a whisk until no lumps remain.
- 10. Gently fold in the cooled onions and grated cheese into the batter.
- 11. Pour the mixture into a small, round silicone mold with a diameter of 20 cm.
- 12. Preheat the air fryer to 160 °C and bake the tart for 30 minutes until the surface is golden brown.
- 13. Carefully turn the tart over once.
- 14. Bake for another 10 minutes at 160 °C until done.
