  1. 1. Slice the onions into thin half-rings.
  2. 2. Roughly chop the cumin seeds.
  3. 3. Heat some oil or butter in a frying pan.
  4. 4. Fry the onions, chopped cumin, and bacon cubes over medium heat for about 10 minutes until translucent.
  5. 5. Season the mixture with one teaspoon of salt and freshly ground pepper.
  6. 6. Let the filling cool down completely.
  7. 7. Whisk the eggs with the milk, two dashes of Maggi sauce, and freshly grated nutmeg until smooth.
  8. 8. Sift the flour into the egg-milk mixture.
  9. 9. Stir the flour in well with a whisk until no lumps remain.
  10. 10. Gently fold in the cooled onions and grated cheese into the batter.
  11. 11. Pour the mixture into a small, round silicone mold with a diameter of 20 cm.
  12. 12. Preheat the air fryer to 160 °C and bake the tart for 30 minutes until the surface is golden brown.
  13. 13. Carefully turn the tart over once.
  14. 14. Bake for another 10 minutes at 160 °C until done.
