🍽️ Crispy Plum Pastries from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 1 pkg. puff pastry (from the refrigerated section)
- 8 plum(s)
- 1 egg, size S
- 1 tbsp milk
Instructions
- 1. Separate the egg into egg white and egg yolk.
- 2. Whisk the egg white briefly with a fork.
- 3. Mix the egg yolk with one tablespoon of milk.
- 4. Wash the plums and dry them.
- 5. Halve the plums and remove the pits.
- 6. Roll out the puff pastry without removing the baking paper.
- 7. Brush the pastry with the whisked egg white.
- 8. Top one half of the puff pastry with 16 plum halves.
- 9. Fold the other half of the pastry over the plums.
- 10. Press the edges of the pastry firmly with a fork.
- 11. Cut the pastry and the baking paper between the plums into 16 individual pieces using scissors.
- 12. Press all edges of the individual pastries firmly with the fork again.
- 13. Poke the tops of the pastries once each with the fork.
- 14. Preheat the air fryer for 3 minutes.
- 15. Place suitable baking paper in the basket if necessary to prevent burning.
- 16. Place 8 pastries in the basket.
- 17. Bake the pastries for 10 minutes at 170 °C.
- 18. Brush the baked pastries with the egg yolk-milk mixture.
- 19. Bake them for a further 4 minutes at 170 °C.
- 20. Repeat the process with the remaining 8 pastries.
- 21. Place the finished pastries on a cooling rack.
- 22. Peel off the small baking paper strips from the bottom.
- 23. Let the pastries cool completely.
