  4. 4. Remove the tray, turn the slices over, and bake them for another approx. 1 minute until crispy.
  5. 5. Variation 1: Peel the onions and slice them into thin rings.
  6. 6. Melt butter in a large pan and add the onions and a pinch of salt.
  7. 7. Sauté them, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and caramelized.
  8. 8. Season with pepper.
  9. 9. Generously top each dumpling slice with the caramelized onions.
  10. 10. Slice the Camembert and place it on top.
  11. 11. Sprinkle with fresh thyme.
  12. 12. Bake the bruschetta briefly under the grill until the cheese melts.
