Ingredients
- 1 pack HENGLEIN puff pastry XXL (375 g)
- 800 g vine tomatoes (small)
- 1 pack Parmesan, grated
- to taste basil (fresh)
- to taste herbs, mixed (Mediterranean, dried)
- salt and pepper
- a little milk
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with fan setting.
- 2. Lay out the puff pastry along with the baking paper on a work surface.
- 3. Cut the dough in half.
- 4. Place each half onto a separate baking sheet.
- 5. Cut the dough surfaces into squares of approximately 4 by 4 centimeters.
- 6. Use a small spoon to press a small indentation into the center of each square.
- 7. Brush the edges of the squares with a little milk.
- 8. Place a tomato slice about 7 millimeters thick into each indentation.
- 9. Season the tomato with pepper, salt, and Mediterranean herbs.
- 10. Bake the snacks in the oven for about 15 to 20 minutes.
- 11. Garnish the finished bites with fresh basil.
- 12. Place thin slices of Parmesan on top.
- 13. This amount yields approximately 72 pieces.
