🍰 Crispy Potato Rösti Cake from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 1 kg potato(es)
- 1 large onion(s)
- 2 egg(s)
- 2 tbsp flour
- salt and pepper
- nutmeg
- rapeseed oil
Instructions
- 1. Peel the potatoes and grate them coarsely.
- 2. Place the grated potatoes in a clean kitchen towel.
- 3. Squeeze the potatoes tightly in the towel to remove as much liquid as possible.
- 4. Peel the onion and chop it finely or grate it.
- 5. Add the squeezed potatoes, the onion, the eggs, and the flour to a large bowl.
- 6. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
- 7. Season the mixture to taste with salt, pepper, and grated nutmeg.
- 8. Lightly grease a silicone mold (approx. 24 cm diameter, 4.5 liters volume) with oil.
- 9. Fill the potato mixture evenly into the mold and smooth the surface.
- 10. Brush the surface of the mixture with a little rapeseed oil.
- 11. Place the mold in the air fryer, preheat to 200 °C, and bake the cake for 20 minutes.
- 12. Carefully turn the potato cake and bake for another 10 minutes at 200 °C.
- 13. Carefully release the finished cake from the mold and serve it.
- 14. Serve the cake as a main course for two people or as a crispy side dish instead of potato dumplings.
