🍽️ Crispy Meat Pockets from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 400 g minced meat, mixed
- 1 pack pizza dough
- 2 onion(s)
- 2 egg(s)
- 2 tsp spice mix (for minced meat)
- 1 pinch(es) smoked salt
- some turmeric powder
- 2 gherkin(s)
- n. B. tomato(es)
- some mustard
- 100 g cheese, grated
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onions and chop them finely.
- 2. Add the minced meat, onions, spices, and one whole egg to a bowl.
- 3. Mix the ingredients vigorously by hand until a homogeneous mass forms.
- 4. Slice the tomatoes into thick rounds.
- 5. Slice the gherkins lengthwise into thin slices.
- 6. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C.
- 7. Roll out the pizza dough thinly on a floured surface.
- 8. Cut out several round circles from the dough.
- 9. Brush one half of each dough circle thinly with mustard.
- 10. Place at least two to three tablespoons of the minced meat mixture on the unbrushed half.
- 11. Distribute the tomato and gherkin slices evenly over the meat.
- 12. Sprinkle grated cheese over the filling.
- 13. Fold the mustard-brushed dough side over the filling.
- 14. Use the egg white of the remaining egg to brush the edges of the pocket.
- 15. Press the edges firmly with the tines of a fork to seal them.
- 16. Brush the top of the pockets with the remaining egg yolk.
- 17. Place the pockets in the air fryer and bake them crispy for 15 to 20 minutes at 180 °C.
