🍽️ Juicy Pulled Pork from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 1.2 kg pork neck
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 2 tbsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp paprika powder
- 0.5 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp pepper
- 1 tbsp thyme
- 0.5 tbsp marjoram
- 1 tsp smoked salt
- optional chili powder
- 1 splash BBQ sauce
- 50 ml apple juice
Instructions
- 1. Gather baking paper and aluminum foil for the preparation.
- 2. Rinse the pork neck under running water and pat it dry with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Coat the meat evenly with the soy sauce and mustard.
- 4. Mix the dry spices in a small bowl. Add chili powder if you prefer it spicy.
- 5. Sprinkle the spice mixture over the meat and massage the rub (spice paste) well into the meat.
- 6. Lay out a large sheet of baking paper on your work surface.
- 7. Fold the baking paper so that a small opening remains on one side.
- 8. Wrap the meat tightly in the baking paper.
- 9. Wrap the package additionally with two layers of aluminum foil to ensure it is tightly sealed.
- 10. Note the position of the opening in the baking paper.
- 11. Place the meat package with the opening facing up into the basket of the air fryer.
- 12. Set the air fryer to 160 °C and select the roast mode.
- 13. Cook the meat for 3.5 hours (210 minutes).
- 14. Remove the package from the air fryer and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- 15. Put the BBQ sauce and apple juice into a small saucepan.
- 16. Warm the sauce in the saucepan over medium heat without letting it boil.
- 17. Carefully open the meat package over a baking dish.
- 18. Pour the resulting cooking juices from the packet into the baking dish.
- 19. Shred the meat into fine fibers using two forks or your hands.
- 20. Mix the shredded meat evenly with the warm BBQ apple juice sauce.
