🍽️ Crispy Apple Rings in Puff Pastry from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 1 roll(s) puff pastry (from the refrigerated section)
- 1 large apple
- 1 egg (or some milk)
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 pinch(es) cinnamon powder
- Hazelnut brittle
Instructions
- 1. Cut four thick slices (approx. 5 millimeters) from the apple.
- 2. Cut out the core in a ring shape, but leave a large hole in the center.
- 3. Cut the chilled puff pastry into strips about 1 centimeter wide.
- 4. Wrap the pastry rings around the apple slices.
- 5. Make sure the pastry ends overlap in the center.
- 6. Place the finished rings in the fridge for a short time to keep the pastry cold.
- 7. Whisk an egg or use milk for brushing.
- 8. Brush the pastry rings with the egg milk.
- 9. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar and hazelnut crunch over them.
- 10. Place the rings in the basket of the air fryer.
- 11. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C and bake the rings for 15 minutes until crispy.
- 12. Serve the rings warm with vanilla sauce, whipped cream, or ice cream.
