  1. 1. Wash the apple thoroughly.
  2. 2. Peel the apple and remove the core.
  3. 3. Cut the flesh into small cubes.
  4. 4. Mix all dough ingredients except the apples into a smooth batter.
  5. 5. Pour the batter into an 18cm springform pan or into muffin cups.
  6. 6. Distribute the apple pieces evenly over the batter.
  7. 7. Preheat the air fryer to 160 °C.
  8. 8. Bake the cake for 20 minutes at 160 °C.
  9. 9. Check for doneness by inserting a wooden skewer into the center to see if it comes out clean.
  10. 10. Remove the cake from the air fryer.
  11. 11. Place small butter flakes on the still hot surface.
  12. 12. Finally, dust the cake with powdered sugar.
