  2. 2. Heat some oil in a large pot and sear the meat in portions. Remove the meat and keep it warm.
  3. 3. Sauté the onions briefly and deglaze with the broth. Return the meat to the pot and simmer for about 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until the onions are soft. Add more broth if needed. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili powder.
  4. 4. Serve the goulash with pappardelle, potatoes, or simply with white bread.
