Ingredients
- 500 g onion(s)
- 250 g beef
- 250 g pork
- 250 ml meat broth
- salt and pepper
- paprika powder
- chili powder
- oil (for frying)
Instructions
- 1. Cut the onions and the meat into coarse cubes.
- 2. Heat some oil in a large pot and sear the meat in portions. Remove the meat and keep it warm.
- 3. Sauté the onions briefly and deglaze with the broth. Return the meat to the pot and simmer for about 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until the onions are soft. Add more broth if needed. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili powder.
- 4. Serve the goulash with pappardelle, potatoes, or simply with white bread.
