🍽️ Crispy Fries from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 1.2 kg potatoes, waxy
- 1 tbsp sunflower oil
- sea salt
Instructions
- 1. Peel the potatoes and rinse them briefly under running water.
- 2. Cut the potatoes into slices about one centimeter thick.
- 3. Cut the slices further into sticks with a width of one centimeter.
- 4. Place the raw potato sticks in a pot and cover them with water.
- 5. Bring about one liter of water to a boil in a separate pot.
- 6. Add two teaspoons of sea salt to the boiling water.
- 7. Add the potato sticks to the salted water and cook them for two minutes (this is called blanching).
- 8. Drain the potatoes in a colander.
- 9. Rinse the potatoes briefly with cold water to stop the cooking process.
- 10. Let the potatoes drain well in the colander.
- 11. Spread the potato sticks on a clean kitchen towel.
- 12. Dry the potatoes thoroughly with the towel.
- 13. Preheat the air fryer to 190 °C.
- 14. Place the dry potato sticks into the fryer basket.
- 15. Drizzle the potatoes with one tablespoon of sunflower oil.
- 16. Cook the fries in the air fryer for 15 to 20 minutes at 190 °C until golden brown and crispy.
- 17. Remove the finished fries from the fryer.
- 18. Season the fries immediately with a little salt.
- 19. Serve the fries hot.
