  1. 1. Separate the eggs. Carefully separate the yolk from the egg white.
  2. 2. Add a pinch of salt to the egg white.
  3. 3. Whip the egg white with the salt until it forms stiff peaks.
  4. 4. Place the egg yolk in a separate bowl.
  5. 5. Stir the sugar and water into the egg yolk until the mixture is creamy.
  6. 6. Pour the oil slowly into the egg yolk mixture while stirring constantly.
  7. 7. Mix the flour and baking soda together in a small bowl.
  8. 8. Add the stiffly whipped egg white to the egg yolk mixture.
  9. 9. Sift the flour mixture over the batter.
  10. 10. Gently fold the ingredients together until a uniform batter forms.
  11. 11. Divide the batter into two equal portions.
  12. 12. Sift the cocoa powder into one of the two portions.
  13. 13. Stir the cocoa into the portion until it is fully incorporated.
  14. 14. Grease a small springform pan (18 cm diameter, 8 cm height) with butter.
  15. 15. Place two tablespoons of the light batter into the center of the pan.
  16. 16. Place two tablespoons of the dark batter directly next to it in the pan.
  17. 17. Repeat the alternating filling process until all the batter is used up.
  18. 18. Place the pan on the rack.
  19. 19. Slide the rack into the second shelf position of the Power AirFryer.
  20. 20. Bake the cake at 160 °C for approx. 30 minutes.
  21. 21. Melt the chocolate coating with the palm oil in a double boiler.
  22. 22. Pour the melted mixture over the warm cake immediately after baking.
