🍰 Fluffy Apple Cake from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 80 g butter or margarine
- 125 g spelt flour
- 75 g cane sugar (brown)
- 1 pkg. vanilla sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 egg(s)
- 1 pinch(es) salt
- some milk
- some cinnamon
- 2 apples
- powdered sugar
Instructions
- 1. Wash the apples thoroughly under running water.
- 2. Peel the apples and remove the core.
- 3. Cut the apples into wedges or small quarters.
- 4. Grease a small springform pan (approx. 18 cm diameter) with some butter.
- 5. Dust the pan with a little flour or line it with baking paper.
- 6. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C.
- 7. Beat butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, and a pinch of salt in a bowl until creamy.
- 8. Add the eggs and continue beating until the mixture is airy.
- 9. Mix flour and baking powder and stir it slowly into the batter.
- 10. If the batter seems too thick, add a small splash of milk.
- 11. Pour the batter into the prepared springform pan.
- 12. Distribute the apple wedges evenly over the batter.
- 13. Optionally sprinkle some cinnamon over the apples.
- 14. Place the pan into the basket of the air fryer.
- 15. Bake the cake at 180 °C for 25 to 30 minutes.
- 16. Cover the cake with a small tray after half the time if it is browning too much.
- 17. Perform a skewer test after baking time to check for doneness.
- 18. Let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes.
- 19. Dust the finished cake with powdered sugar.
