🍽️ Crispy Fennel Mozzarella Toast from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 1 fennel bulb(s)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp pine nuts
- 4 slice(s) toast bread
- 150 g mozzarella (lactose-free)
- salt and pepper
- curry powder
Instructions
- 1. Wash the fennel thoroughly.
- 2. Cut the fennel in half lengthwise.
- 3. Cut out the hard core at the bottom in a wedge shape.
- 4. Finely chop the green fennel fronds.
- 5. Slice the fennel bulb into very thin, long strips.
- 6. Heat the oil in a pan.
- 7. Place the fennel strips in the hot pan.
- 8. Cover the pan with a lid.
- 9. Turn the heat to a low setting.
- 10. Let the fennel simmer (cook gently) for ten minutes.
- 11. Add the pine nuts to the pan.
- 12. Season the mixture with salt.
- 13. Season the mixture with pepper.
- 14. Season the mixture with curry powder.
- 15. Slice the mozzarella into thin slices.
- 16. Place the toast slices in the toaster.
- 17. Turn on the toaster.
- 18. Turn on the air fryer.
- 19. Set the air fryer temperature to 180 °C.
- 20. Preheat the air fryer for three minutes.
- 21. Place two toast slices on the air fryer grill basket.
- 22. Spread half of the warm fennel mixture onto the toast slices.
- 23. Place several mozzarella slices on top of the vegetables.
- 24. Place the grill basket into the air fryer.
- 25. Set the air fryer temperature to 180 °C.
- 26. Bake the toasts for six minutes.
- 27. Remove the finished toasts from the air fryer.
- 28. Sprinkle some chopped fennel fronds on top as decoration.
- 29. Serve the toasts immediately.
- 30. Place the next two toast slices in the toaster.
- 31. Turn on the toaster.
- 32. Top the new toast slices with the remaining fennel mixture.
- 33. Place the remaining mozzarella slices on top.
- 34. Place the grill basket into the air fryer.
- 35. Set the air fryer temperature to 180 °C.
- 36. Bake the second batch of toasts for six minutes.
