Ingredients
- 1 kg minced meat
- 2 egg(s)
- 50 g breadcrumbs
- salt and pepper
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 sprig(s) thyme
- 4 slice(s) cooked ham
- 4 slice(s) cheese
- 2 handful(s) spinach
- 20 slice(s) bacon
Instructions
- 1. Put the minced meat, egg, breadcrumbs, herbs, and spices into a bowl.
- 2. Mix all ingredients thoroughly with your hands or a spoon.
- 3. Lay a large sheet of aluminum foil on your work surface.
- 4. Shape the meat mixture into a flat rectangle on the foil.
- 5. Spread the cheese, ham, and spinach evenly over the meat surface.
- 6. Carefully roll the foil together with the meat mixture.
- 7. Seal the open ends of the roll tightly so nothing falls out.
- 8. Place the bacon slices over the entire surface of the roll.
- 9. Wrap the roll completely in aluminum foil again.
- 10. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 11. Place the roll on a baking tray and bake it for 25 minutes.
- 12. Carefully remove the aluminum foil from the roll.
- 13. Increase the oven temperature to 250 degrees Celsius.
- 14. Bake the roll for another 25 to 30 minutes until the bacon is crispy.
- 15. Slice the finished roll into thick pieces.
- 16. Serve the roll with barbecue sauce, sweet potato fries, or salad.
