Ingredients
- 1 packet puff pastry (from the refrigerated section)
- 1 egg
- cheese, grated (small chopped chorizo, cherry tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes in oil, wasabi nuts, sesame seeds, olives)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius. Set the function to top and bottom heat.
- 2. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
- 3. Take the ready-made puff pastry out of the packaging.
- 4. Place the pastry on the prepared baking sheet.
- 5. Cut the pastry into small squares of about 3 by 3 centimeters. Use a pizza cutter or a sharp knife for this.
- 6. Whisk an egg in a small bowl.
- 7. Brush the pastry pieces with the egg mixture. Use a baking brush for this.
- 8. Top the bites according to your taste. You can add cheese, ham, or vegetables, for example.
- 9. Place the tray in the preheated oven.
- 10. Bake the snacks for 15 minutes until golden brown.
- 11. Take the tray out of the oven.
- 12. Let the snacks cool down for a short moment.
- 13. Serve the puff pastry bites lukewarm or cold. They are perfect as finger food for parties or as a quick side dish.
