🍽️ Crispy Spinach Quesadillas

Ingredients
- 6 wheat tortilla(s)
- 80 g cheese, grated (we used 40 g cheddar and 40 g mozzarella)
- 300 g spinach (the gram amount refers to the thawed and already squeezed spinach!)
- salt and pepper
- 1 garlic clove(s) (pressed or chopped)
- oil for frying
Instructions
- 1. Thaw the frozen leaf spinach.
- 2. Squeeze the thawed spinach firmly to remove excess water.
- 3. Mix the dry spinach with pressed garlic, pepper, and salt.
- 4. Add 30 grams of the cheese amount to the spinach mixture.
- 5. Use a mix of sharp cheddar and mild mozzarella for the best flavor.
- 6. Place a wheat tortilla on a work surface.
- 7. Sprinkle cheese on one half of the tortilla.
- 8. Place the spinach and cheese filling on the cheese-sprinkled side.
- 9. Press the filling down slightly.
- 10. Sprinkle more cheese over the filling.
- 11. Cover everything with a second tortilla.
- 12. Heat oil in a pan over low heat.
- 13. Fry the quesadilla in the pan.
- 14. Fry it golden brown on both sides.
- 15. Place the finished quesadilla briefly on kitchen paper.
- 16. Let the excess fat drain off.
- 17. Serve the quesadillas as a snack.
