🍽️ Crispy Meatballs in Tomato-Olive Sauce

Ingredients
- 0.5 rolls (from the day before)
- 150 g minced meat (mixed or lamb mince)
- 1 egg(s)
- 0.5 tsp mustard
- 0.5 shallot(s) (diced)
- 1 clove(s) of garlic
- 2 pinch(es) of salt and pepper
- 2 sprig(s) of marjoram (chopped and thyme chopped)
- 1 tbsp olive oil (or rapeseed oil)
- 0.5 spring onion(s) (cut into fine rings)
- 5 olives (pitted, diced)
- 1 shallot(s) (cut into fine rings)
- 100 g cherry tomato(es)
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 80 ml tomato, pureed
- 80 ml broth
- 1 sprig(s) of oregano (chopped)
Instructions
- 1. Soak the bread roll in some water and then squeeze it out well.
- 2. Mix the squeezed bread roll with the minced meat, the egg, the mustard, and the diced shallots in a bowl.
- 3. Peel the garlic clove and dice it finely.
- 4. Knead the garlic together with salt, pepper, marjoram, and thyme thoroughly into the meat mixture.
- 5. Shape the mixture into equally sized balls.
- 6. Put one tablespoon of oil into the baking basket of the air fryer.
- 7. Preheat the air fryer for 3 minutes at 180 °C.
- 8. Fry the meatballs for 5 minutes in the preheated fryer.
- 9. Wash the spring onions and peel the shallot.
- 10. Cut both into thin rings.
- 11. Add the cherry tomatoes, chili powder, puréed tomatoes, broth, spring onions, olives, and shallots to the pre-cooked meatballs.
- 12. Simmer everything for 12 to 15 minutes at 180 °C in the air fryer.
- 13. Season the dish at the end with salt, pepper, and chopped oregano.
- 14. Cut a slice of toast bread into two triangles.
- 15. Spread cream horseradish on the toast triangles.
- 16. Press a sage leaf onto the bread and sprinkle it with Parmesan.
- 17. Put the crostini in the air fryer for 3 minutes at 180 °C until they are crispy.
