  1. 1. Peel the apples and cut them into small cubes.
  2. 2. Place the apple cubes in a pot and cover them just barely with apple juice.
  3. 3. Bring the mixture to a brief boil.
  4. 4. Stir honey and cinnamon into the apples.
  5. 5. Optionally add a little cornstarch to thicken the filling.
  6. 6. Make sure the apples remain firm to the bite and do not become mushy.
  7. 7. Let the apple mixture cool down briefly.
  8. 8. Lay out one sheet of phyllo dough flat.
  9. 9. Brush the dough sheet with melted butter.
  10. 10. Place half of the cooled apple mixture in the center of the dough.
  11. 11. Fold the side edges of the dough towards the center.
  12. 12. Carefully roll the strudel up starting from the long side.
  13. 13. Repeat steps 8 to 12 with the second dough sheet and the remaining apple filling.
  14. 14. Brush the outside of both finished strudels with a little oil.
  15. 15. Preheat the air fryer to 200 °C.
  16. 16. Place the strudels into the basket of the air fryer.
  17. 17. Bake the strudels for 10 minutes at 200 °C until crispy.
  18. 18. Let the strudels cool down briefly before enjoying them.
  19. 19. Add raisins to the apple mixture if you like.
  20. 20. A scoop of vanilla ice cream pairs perfectly as a side.
  21. 21. You can also prepare this recipe in a conventional oven without an air fryer.
  22. 22. Simply follow the instructions on the phyllo dough package.
