🍽️ Crispy Mini Apple Strudels from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 2 sheets phyllo dough
- 2 apples
- some apple juice
- 1 tbsp honey (liquid)
- some cinnamon
- 2 tbsp butter
- some oil (e.g. rapeseed oil)
- raisins (optional)
- maybe cornstarch
Instructions
- 1. Peel the apples and cut them into small cubes.
- 2. Place the apple cubes in a pot and cover them just barely with apple juice.
- 3. Bring the mixture to a brief boil.
- 4. Stir honey and cinnamon into the apples.
- 5. Optionally add a little cornstarch to thicken the filling.
- 6. Make sure the apples remain firm to the bite and do not become mushy.
- 7. Let the apple mixture cool down briefly.
- 8. Lay out one sheet of phyllo dough flat.
- 9. Brush the dough sheet with melted butter.
- 10. Place half of the cooled apple mixture in the center of the dough.
- 11. Fold the side edges of the dough towards the center.
- 12. Carefully roll the strudel up starting from the long side.
- 13. Repeat steps 8 to 12 with the second dough sheet and the remaining apple filling.
- 14. Brush the outside of both finished strudels with a little oil.
- 15. Preheat the air fryer to 200 °C.
- 16. Place the strudels into the basket of the air fryer.
- 17. Bake the strudels for 10 minutes at 200 °C until crispy.
- 18. Let the strudels cool down briefly before enjoying them.
- 19. Add raisins to the apple mixture if you like.
- 20. A scoop of vanilla ice cream pairs perfectly as a side.
- 21. You can also prepare this recipe in a conventional oven without an air fryer.
- 22. Simply follow the instructions on the phyllo dough package.
