  2. 2. Slice the sweet potatoes into paper-thin, even rounds using a vegetable peeler.
  3. 3. Place the slices into a large bowl.
  4. 4. Add some oil, salt, and pepper.
  5. 5. Toss everything well so that every slice is evenly seasoned.
  6. 6. Preheat the air fryer to 160 °C.
  7. 7. Place the sweet potato slices in the basket, but do not overcrowd it to ensure good air circulation.
  8. 8. Cook the chips for the first 8 minutes at 160 °C.
  9. 9. Remove the basket and shake it vigorously to ensure even cooking.
  10. 10. Increase the temperature to 180 °C.
  11. 11. Cook the chips for another 6 minutes at 180 °C.
  12. 12. Shake the basket again after about 2 minutes to prevent burning.
  13. 13. Remove the chips as soon as they are golden brown and crispy.
