🍽️ Crispy Meat Coxinhas from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 1 Liter water
- 3 cubes chicken broth
- 500 g flour
- 125 g butter (or oil)
- 1 tbsp salt
- 500 g minced meat
- 1 small onion(s)
- 2 clove(s) garlic
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp oil for frying
- 1 bunch parsley
- some salt and pepper
- paprika powder
- 1 egg
- 125 ml milk
- breadcrumbs
- some oil
Instructions
- 1. Prepare for about 20 pieces.
- 2. Add the bouillon cube and the oil or butter to the water.
- 3. Bring the water to a boil in a large pot.
- 4. Sift the flour into a separate bowl.
- 5. Turn down the heat.
- 6. Add the flour gradually to the boiling broth.
- 7. Stir constantly with a sturdy cooking spoon.
- 8. Hold the pot steady if necessary to prevent it from slipping.
- 9. Continue stirring until the dough pulls away from the bottom of the pot.
- 10. Turn off the heat.
- 11. Stir the dough a bit more until it has cooled down.
- 12. Heat a pan over medium heat.
- 13. Add some oil to the hot pan.
- 14. Dice the onion finely.
- 15. Mince the garlic finely.
- 16. Add the onion and garlic to the pan.
- 17. Sauté the vegetables until translucent.
- 18. Add the tomato paste.
- 19. Stir in the tomato paste.
- 20. Increase the heat.
- 21. Brown the minced meat quickly.
- 22. Season with salt.
- 23. Season with pepper.
- 24. Season with paprika.
- 25. Add the chopped parsley.
- 26. Let the filling cool down.
- 27. Form a small ball from the dough.
- 28. Press a shallow nest into the dough ball.
- 29. Place a small spoonful of filling in the center.
- 30. Close the nest into a teardrop shape pointing upwards.
- 31. Whisk the egg with the milk.
- 32. Put the breadcrumbs into a second bowl.
- 33. Dip the Coxinha first into the egg-milk mixture.
- 34. Then roll the Coxinha in the breadcrumbs.
- 35. Brush the Coxinhas with a little oil.
- 36. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C.
- 37. Place the Coxinhas in the air fryer.
- 38. Cook the Coxinhas for 10 to 15 minutes.
- 39. Remove the Coxinhas when they are golden yellow.
