  1. 1. Wash the tomatoes and cut them into small cubes.
  2. 2. Peel the onions and cut them into small cubes as well.
  3. 3. Heat a large skillet and fry the minced meat in it until it is crumbly and cooked through.
  4. 4. Season the meat with salt and pepper to your liking.
  5. 5. Take a shallow, oven-safe dish and spread half of the tortilla chips as the bottom layer.
  6. 6. Spread half of the cooked minced meat evenly over the chips.
  7. 7. Spread half of the chopped tomatoes on top.
  8. 8. Add half of the diced onions on top.
  9. 9. Add half of the jalapeños (hot peppers).
  10. 10. Pour half of the sauce over this layer.
  11. 11. Sprinkle everything with half of the grated cheese.
  12. 12. Repeat steps 5 to 11 to build the second layer until all ingredients are used up.
  13. 13. Preheat the air fryer to 160 °C.
  14. 14. Place the dish in the air fryer and bake the gratin for approx. 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
  15. 15. Carefully remove the skillet and serve it hot immediately.
