🍽️ The Ultimate Nacho Gratin Skillet

Ingredients
- 2 tomatoes
- 2 red onions
- 500 g ground beef (or ground lamb)
- 1 bag of nachos (or 2 bags, depending on size)
- 4 tbsp jalapeños (pickled red)
- 4 tbsp jalapeños (pickled green)
- 400 ml BBQ sauce
- 500 g grated cheese
- salt and pepper (freshly ground)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the tomatoes and cut them into small cubes.
- 2. Peel the onions and cut them into small cubes as well.
- 3. Heat a large skillet and fry the minced meat in it until it is crumbly and cooked through.
- 4. Season the meat with salt and pepper to your liking.
- 5. Take a shallow, oven-safe dish and spread half of the tortilla chips as the bottom layer.
- 6. Spread half of the cooked minced meat evenly over the chips.
- 7. Spread half of the chopped tomatoes on top.
- 8. Add half of the diced onions on top.
- 9. Add half of the jalapeños (hot peppers).
- 10. Pour half of the sauce over this layer.
- 11. Sprinkle everything with half of the grated cheese.
- 12. Repeat steps 5 to 11 to build the second layer until all ingredients are used up.
- 13. Preheat the air fryer to 160 °C.
- 14. Place the dish in the air fryer and bake the gratin for approx. 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
- 15. Carefully remove the skillet and serve it hot immediately.
