🍽️ Berlin-style Liver with Apples and Onions

Ingredients
- 300 g liver(s)
- 1 onion(s)
- 1 apple (tart)
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp butter
- optional sugar
Instructions
- 1. Clean the liver thoroughly by removing all fat edges, sinews, and membranes.
- 2. Coat the liver slices in flour until they are evenly covered.
- 3. Season the floured slices generously with pepper.
- 4. Slice the apple thinly.
- 5. Slice the onion thinly.
- 6. Fry the liver in batches in butter.
- 7. Fry each side of the liver for about one to two minutes until golden brown.
- 8. Remove the fried liver from the pan.
- 9. Keep the liver warm in the oven at about 100 degrees Celsius.
- 10. Sauté the apple slices in the remaining butter and pan residues.
- 11. Sauté the onion slices together with the apples.
- 12. Add a little more butter and sugar if needed.
- 13. Caramelize the apples and onions until they are soft and sweet.
- 14. Season the warm liver finally with salt.
- 15. Serve the liver together with the caramelized apples and onions.
- 16. Serve mashed potatoes as a classic side dish accompaniment.
