Ingredients
- 300 g flour
- 100 g butter
- 100 g sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 pkt. vanilla sugar
- 2 egg(s)
- 1500 g apples (preferably tart)
- 50 g butter
- 50 g raisins
- 50 g sugar
- 1 pkt. vanilla pudding powder
- 150 g flour
- 100 g butter
- 100 g sugar
Instructions
- 1. Mix flour, butter, sugar, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and eggs in a bowl.
- 2. Knead the ingredients into a soft dough.
- 3. Let the dough rest in a cool place for 30 minutes.
- 4. Peel the apples and remove the core.
- 5. Cut the apples into small cubes.
- 6. Place the apple pieces, butter, sugar, and raisins in a pot.
- 7. Heat the mixture on the stove.
- 8. Cook the apples until they are soft and have a firm consistency.
- 9. Remove the pot from the heat and set it aside.
- 10. Prepare vanilla pudding according to the package instructions.
- 11. Use milk if required for the preparation.
- 12. Let the pudding cool until it is thick and liquid.
- 13. Make sure the pudding has not completely solidified yet.
- 14. Grease a springform pan.
- 15. Roll out the shortcrust dough in the pan.
- 16. Pull up a border about 3 cm high.
- 17. Spread the pudding evenly over the dough.
- 18. Place the apple mixture carefully on top of the pudding.
- 19. Distribute the apple mixture evenly.
- 20. Mix flour, butter, and sugar for the crumble dough.
- 21. Spread the crumble dough over the apple filling.
- 22. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees.
- 23. Bake the cake for about 60 minutes.
- 24. Increase the oven temperature to 200 degrees 10 minutes before the end of the baking time.
- 25. Watch the cake closely so it does not become too dark.
- 26. Decide whether you want to add cinnamon to the apples.
