  2. 2. Finely chop the onion and garlic and add them to the meat.
  3. 3. Peel the carrots and slice them into small rounds.
  4. 4. Add the vegetables to the meat and continue frying for five minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. 5. Stir in the tomato paste and mix well.
  6. 6. Deglaze the pot with the broth.
  7. 7. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  8. 8. Let the pot simmer covered on low heat for 40 minutes.
  9. 9. Cut the bell pepper into small strips.
  10. 10. Add the bell pepper about 10 minutes before the end of the cooking time.
  11. 11. Season the dish to taste with salt and pepper at the end.
  12. 12. Serve the stew.
  13. 13. Add a dollop of crème fraîche to each plate.
