  5. 5. Finely chop the onions.
  6. 6. Heat the olive oil in a large pot.
  7. 7. Sauté the onions in the hot oil.
  8. 8. Wait until the onions are soft and translucent.
  9. 9. Press the garlic directly into the pot using a garlic press.
  10. 10. Fry the garlic briefly.
  11. 11. Add the cubed sweet potatoes and the bell pepper to the pot.
  12. 12. Stir in the tomato paste.

  14. 14. Fry the entire mixture briefly.
  15. 15. Add the lentils to the pot.
