🍽️ Retro Burgers with Coffee Crust

Ingredients
- 1 roll (stale)
- 300 ml water (warm)
- 6 slice/s bacon
- 8 tbsp baked beans
- 2 onion/s
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 pickle/s
- 1 tsp coffee bean/s (roasted)
- salt and pepper
- 1 egg/s, size M
- 500 g minced meat, mixed
- 3 tbsp sunflower oil
- 2 slice/s country bread
- 100 g cheese (munster, cheese platter cheese)
- 2 tsp mustard, spicy
- 4 tbsp barbecue sauce
- iceberg lettuce
Instructions
- 1. Cut the rolls into small cubes.
- 2. Place the bread cubes in warm water for 20 minutes.
- 3. Fry the bacon in a pan without extra fat until crispy.
- 4. Drain the bacon on kitchen paper.
- 5. Warm up the baked beans.
- 6. Slice the onions.
- 7. Sauté the onion slices in one tablespoon of butter until soft.
- 8. Grind the coffee beans finely with a pinch of salt in a mortar.
- 9. Slice the pickles.
- 10. Chop the lettuce leaves.
- 11. Squeeze the soaked bread well.
- 12. Knead the bread in a bowl with the egg and minced meat.
- 13. Season the meat mixture with salt and pepper.
- 14. Form four burger patties with slightly damp hands.
- 15. Heat oil in a pan.
- 16. Fry the patties for 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
- 17. Season the cooked patties with the ground coffee salt.
- 18. Place cheese on the bread slices.
- 19. Roast the topped bread slices in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes.
- 20. Place one patty on a plate.
- 21. Top the patty with the onions.
- 22. Add the lettuce.
- 23. Place the toasted bread slices on top.
- 24. Add the baked beans.
- 25. Place the pickle slices on top.
- 26. Crown the burger with the bacon.
- 27. Spread everything with mustard and barbecue sauce.
- 28. Finish the burger with the second patty.
