🍽️ Vanilla Crescent Cookies

Ingredients
- 560 g flour
- 160 g sugar
- 400 g butter or margarine
- 200 g hazelnuts, ground (or peanuts)
- 100 g sugar
- 4 pkts. vanilla sugar
Instructions
- 1. Knead flour, sugar, butter cut into small cubes, and the nuts into a smooth dough. Place the dough in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
- 2. Shape the dough into a log. Cut off pieces and shape them into small crescents. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 3. Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 175 degrees Celsius top and bottom heat on the lower rack for about 15 minutes until golden yellow.
- 4. Mix sugar and vanilla sugar. Roll the still warm cookies in the mixture until completely covered, and let them cool.
- 5. This recipe comes from my grandmother, who used to own a bakery. They are the best vanilla crescent cookies in the world!
